NFS rivals overwatch can't see online friends and says "xbox one not connected" [ Edited ]

I am using the app on my iPad mini and PC and they both have the same problem. When my friend is online and playing it shows them offline. And whenever I'm online it says "xbox one not connected"
I have been messing with this app for many hours and one time today it said my friend was on and one time today it recognized my Xbox one being connected. But 99% of the time it does not work.
