Xbox controller with Need for Speed most wanted

i can't get my Need for Speed most wanted to work with my Xbox controller!!! It used to work fine and I even re-installed the game hoping that would help, When I go to settings in the game and try to re-calibrate the controller doesn't work either??? Somebody please help me out here! The cops are getting away and I need to hunt them down.

@kenswanbeck Hey, can you try restarting your system with a Clean Boot then try again?

Perhaps there's a 3rd party program interfering, the Clean Boot will help to determine if this is a factor.

Did a clean boot, but didn't help. Still waiting for the right answer. The Xbox controller is supposed to be the default. It all used to work fine, but don't know what changed???

Try and connect the controller to your system via USB. If that isn't working it's very possible you have a defective controller.
