Need for speed most wanted 2005 will not open [ Edited ]

I just bought the game for some real nostalgia and when i click play on origin the game just does not open! and the orange play button goes back to normal. I have windows 8 with a core I7 and a decent graphics card. This is so annoying can someone please help!

based on your PC specs make sure you have the proper requirements for the game to function.

I would also advise you on your game controller and make sure it is configured for the game.

If it is just plugged and play like most controllers it should just work automatically with the game.

However, if the controller buttons are faulty and it even happens on the newly bought controller.

I would advise you to contact the retailer you bought it from and see if you can get your money back or do an exchange with them.
