@xDShock

Search your game install location for vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86 and right click each one and Run as Administrator then either Repair or Install both of those.

Let us know if that helps you play, thanks.

I recently purchased Need for Speed Deluxe edition from Steam and I have been getting the same error of 0x000007b, I have tried reinstalling vlc 2013 versions 64 and 86 but so far i have again retained that problem. The game just refuses to work with the same error no matter what I do

Recently happened to me so I'll give my solution in case anyone ends up here anyway.

Delete every C++ Microsoft Visual version installed, and install just the latest one right now being the following links:

(Original links from Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn)

then restart the PC

I installed just the version for my system (64-bit) and not both like I always see recommended, and it worked just fine.

Mine started with the error after format, so it probably was an error installing C++ beware of that case, the original error was msvcr100.dll, but just replacing the file ended up with 0xc00007b.

reinstalling every version of C++ didnt work.
