Black Screen

When i launch the game, i get nothing but a black screen. I have already tried disabling various overlays and background programs that i heard may interfere with the game being able to run correctly, as well as using alt-enter to run the game in window mode, but nothing seems to work. It literally just opens a black window and hangs there indefinitely.

This can happen if your machine does not meet the minimum system requirements for the game:
