I've been having a problem finding opponents in NHL 18 HUT but I can find them in EASHL. This problem goes back to NHL 17 as well. I'm able to play other multiplayer games but not EA games. Not sure what the issue is.

EASHL is server base and HUT is P2P. Rogers(my ISP) has an issue with EA currently and can't connect to P2P if you are using a certain Hitron modem. Call your ISP and ask them to disable IPv6 that is most likely the issue.

Will disabling ipv6 effect other multiplayer games?

No it will not effect other games in a bad way from  most games still use IPv4 anyways. 

It will let you play other EA games that use P2P and let them work again (mass effect Andromeda, NHL 17 etc...)

Yes it worked I just called my ISP and disabled it and now im online playing people
