Game Crashes During Launch

This works.  I had this problem for days and following these steps allowed me to finally log in.  I had to run through the initial setup, but my versus and HUT was just as I left it.

It's working for me too, thanks ea_atic. My EASHL stats are still all there. It looks like my skater's appearance is back to all defaults but that's not a big deal, I'll just have to re-customize him.

What? EA didn't do a thing here .. they just waited for someone to find the answer and post the steps .. just saying..

Based on what was posted it made sound like it was the same issue BF1 people are having for the moment. Topic is: here.

But its correct that a @08healing683 did find that work around.  

I'm happy to see this working, we are investigating the issue also from our end.
