Weird issue with sound mixer not working with Need for Speed

For some reason I have two issues:

1.  The sound mixer does not affect the volume of Hot Pursuit at all, and it's super loud, even with the volumes at 10% ingame.

2.  When I switch speakers, Need for Speed gets stuck on the original speakers it was on, nothing I do changes it.

This started happening when i got Windows 11, is there something I need to reinstall?

I do not think you need to reinstall anything but do make sure you have all available Windows updates downloaded and installed, thanks.

Yes I have recent windows updates.  Did a check and none available.
