Can't enable crossplay or access online multiplayer

I've just downloaded NFS Hot Pursuit on Nintendo Switch. I was looking forward to online multiplayer, but it won't connect to the EA servers (error code 40010000). I've gone into the privacy menu in an attempt to enable Crossplay but there are no options to toggle it on. I've restarted the console and nothing changed. Is there a fix?

So many of us are having problems right now with the Hot Pursuit matchmaking.  Last night it took me around 35 minutes to get into a game, as soon as you came out a lobby the problem started all over again.  I've tried Most Wanted too, worked Flawlessly online.  

For some reason, loads of us just can't get into a match, we're getting kicked back to the online multiplayer screen.

Exactly what’s happening. Happening to me to. On ps4. Sometimes friends lobby works. Sometimes they don’t either. Also Thursday aug 12 2021 the game said not connected to ea severs.

Same issue here on PS4 Pro.

Game won't connect to the autolog / EA servers. Shows error 40010000.

In the rare instances that it lets you connect to online, if you selected the "Quick Match" option, it just crashes the game completely.

These issues started appearing for me 3 days ago.

I have opened a case with EA Support Case ID: 88270215. But as usual, they don't give any solutions.

Issues on xbox too.... started on Thursday.
