No more G29 Steering wheel after latest NSF Heat patch

★★ Guide

For some reason after the newest patch for Need for Speed Heat the game no longer recognizes the Logitech G29  Steering wheel. I uninstalled Need for Speed Heat and now Payback wouldn't even load, it froze on the load screen and the only way to get out was shutting down the computer. I reinstalled Heat and Payback would load, but still no steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

W need wheel support of most wheels used today. Thrustmaster, Fanatec, and Logitech. It’s that simple.

@RIP2016 Sweet. (I hope).
I bought NFS Heat (PC) last weekend, after a friend told me it was a great game
Since I play a lot of Dirt (Rally 2.0) I was thrilled, until I found out that my G29 didn’t do any good.
I use an Xbox 360 Controller, which really sux compared to the G29.
I’ll try your advice and I’ll get back to tell.

Thanks.

I second that.

A car racing game (which the game's base stands on) without a possibility to use a steering wheel, is totally ridiculous.
I deeply regret that I was such a fool and didn't read its preferences and specifications before buying.

The X360 emulator did work to my G29, however the steering is a jerky as when you steer with you Xbox 360 controller: it's either on or off, when you start to turn the wheel.
It is light years away from playing e.g. Dirt, F1, GRID (the old version), ETS2, etcetera, with a steering wheel.

EA has to re-do this mess and make an update that will make it 100% configurable with steering wheels. That they would be able to do in a jiffy.

As I wrote in post #25, it worked. So thank you for sharing and letting us know that it was an option.
However, the steering wheel is jerky and has no feeling at all. I don't know if my settings in the emulator is messed up, but when you start to turn it has the same effect as when pressing the joystick on a Xbox 360-controller. It's like there is only on or off.

EA has to fix this! A car racing-game that doesn't support a steering wheel is beyond weird. Imagine if Codemasters' all games where only supported by mouse/keyboard and/or Xbox-controller.

Fix this EA!

How did you get it to work? I have a G29 and used X360 emulator and it doesn't work. I didn't have much time to play around with it, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

@4Northstar I’m at work now (time is 9:30 PM here in Sweden), but I’ll get back to you during Tuesday with some screenshots of the configuration.
