Indeed, even the thought of deinstalling and reinstalling origin, just to start a game u bought on STEAM. Thats just so sad... And it does incredible harm to my liking of origin...

Anyone else experiencing this here is what worked for me:

- close everything (EA app, origin, NFS)

- launch the game as administrator

I also had this problem, this is what solved for me.

I had previously uninstalled punkbuster due to some issues I was having with other games, so I downloaded it from this link https://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
after downloading it, I clicked on uninstall and clean, and then I installed it. It worked for me. I originaly was having trouble trying to launch Most Wanted 2012, but Heat wouldn't launch either, and reinstalling punkbuster solved that issue. I hope this work for as many people as possible, as I was all day trying to find a solution without any results, until a friend of mine suggested that I could be having those issues because of punkbuster.

I also changed the installation drive where my game was installed, and then clicked on the install option on Origin. I think it then recognized the game was already installed by Steam.

also downloading the game via steam and repairing it through origin, i was missing around 850MB worth of game files

@cabeson35 Okay, this will 100% work, if the game launched at least one time, but now it doesn't follow these steps and you are good to go.

If Origin is running, close it by clicking Origin in the menu bar then Exit. ...
Hold the Windows key + R.
In the command box that opens, type %ProgramData%/Origin then click OK.
Delete all the files and folders inside it EXCEPT for LocalContent!

Launch game & have "fun".
