Isnt this game also made on Frostbite?
I'm afraid it's going to be many reports with this exact error in the next days. This is a very common issue at launch for all games using Frostbite. Usually its fixed for most user after the next driver release or game update.
But I assume you do not just want to sit and wait so my best advice for you is to search for this DX error for any other game using Frostbite and try any of the solutions in those threads.
Most recent games that all had this issue for many users are Fifa 20, Anthem and Battlefield V. All of those games should have several threads regarding DXGI device removed/hung etc errors with possible workarounds to try.
If you just google EA device hung or EA device removed you will get many threads you can look into without having to search the entire internet

Can you please do a clean install of the following 'Studio Driver' edition of this driver set:

Please let us know if this has any effect, thanks.

Directx Error usually happens with Overclocked Cards,
try that https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?faqid=59594
and make sure you don't have any overlay enabled

@EA_BarryBack again, that driver changed NOTHING.
Worked for few minutes... and now crashes after crashes.
I'm trying to stream the game on my YouTube channel... and instead of playing the game, I spent 2 hours trying to fix it.
Directx Errors usually happens with unstable Graphic cards.
Try to enabling the Debug modus in nvidia panel

Your GPU is overclocked out of the box
The MSI Gaming 8G have 3 Modes
OC Mode, Gaming Mode and Silent Mode
Default is gaming mode, but even the gaming Mode is already +100MHz more over the Reference Clock
https://de.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1080-GAMING-X-8G
https://www.nvidia.com/de-de/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1080/
nvidia Debug modus will put the Card back temporally( until PC restart) to Default Clocks
Every nvidia Partner have they own names for Overclocking.
