I bought the standard edition last week and I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I can't get past the 2nd gear with my 2nd car that's in garage unless I change the buttons. I hate having to go back and forth with this when I want to play other games. I hope a fix for this is on it's way.

Hey EA how about a real fix to this problem? it's not supposed to be fixed by cheating the PS4 controller accesibility setup.

@KILLAZDUDE101 same issue. I never saw any of these type of comments before i bought the game yesterday. (2nd March 2020) Very annoying cant play it properly!
I still cant see any real fix options???

tried resetting controller. doesnt change anything.
Have had to reallocate button options as a temp fix as others suggested.

I'm having the same issue here, I was playing ok for the last 2 weeks, but then I started losing too much in game and had enough of it, so I decided to reset the saved game. Then I realized it has this weird bug that R2 wasn't working on full throttle. After I got the new save, R2 is completely useless on this game and now I've changed in accessibility to R1 temporarily. Hope EA fix this ASAP.

Win 10 install, 

using Xbox elite wired controller

not enough accelleration to redline, takes forever to accellerate.  

Use of keyboard as controller works fine... but I want to use my controller.

@Gamsk +1 - exact same issue here. just started a pc thread for it. if not fixed i'll just refund in a few days - probably best option. lifes too short to trouble shoot video games that you pay for .

I got same issue and I found solution I buy new PS4 controller and it’s working very well.
