why are my toddler inventory items being moved to the parent sim?

I place some toys and a tablet in my Toddler's inventory.  A few minutes later, I notice those items are in the parent's inventory.  Why are the items being moved to the parent?

@a5b930e2657e0556 Are you using mods/cc in your game ?

Does the toddler not have them anymore or were they duplicated ?

@crinrict Hi, not sure of what is proper protocol (this is my first time ever commenting on here), but I seem to have the exact same problem as the OP. I do have mods/cc in my game and I know they can be an issue. The issue might be connected to traveling from one lot to another, but I'm not sure. It seems like when my toddler sim goes somewhere the items in her inventory then get transferred to a random household member. Though, I'm not always lucky enough for that to be true. Sometimes it just disappears entirely and I'll have to buy the items again and put them in the toddler's inventory. Also, I have two toddler sims in this household, both toddlers traveled, but only one of the toddler's inventory disappeared.

@amayahime1 Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache and then try again on a backup of your save, to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.
