Re: script_object.py:1653

HI @jowainekni598 . A Sim couldn't get to an object or complete an action for some reason. What was happening in-game will give you some idea of what the cause might have been. There's also no way to tell from just the error type if it was caused by a mod or not. You could try recreating the situation to see if you can tell a cause that way.

I have , and I have been searching and going through my cc’s and this error keeps popping up, I can’t find which mod it is even with better exceptions installed

Re: script_object.py:1653

Did the error disappear if you tested without the Mods folder at all (delete localthumbcache too)?

If it didn't, it's almost certainly not a mod-related error but something related to what happened in-game that the game did. If it did, you'll need to do a 50-50 on your mods to gradually isolate the culprit.

I have done the 50-50 method , deleted obsolete mods and ones that were outdated, but I’m still getting an exception file for script_object. I have asked on discord , they say I can ignore but BE keeps running this problem and it is interrupting my game play.

Re: script_object.py:1653

If it's happening with no mods installed (not just removing known outdated and obsolete ones), then it's a game issue and those are most often ignorable. The best option in that case is to figure out what triggers it.

That’s the kicker, I cannot figure what’s causing the error, the exception reports list no mods : description : script_object: terrain pointer, which I don’t understand. I do not have any terrain altering mods installed

Re: script_object.py:1653

It might not be a mod at all, but the only way to be sure of that is to test with the Mods folder dragged to your desktop. Some errors are the game, not mods.

That’s going to be my next test, to move the mods folder out again and try playing a complete new household or try playing a new save.

because the exception error never list a mod that’s causing the error so it’s hard to say.
