About This Thread

This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game updates or declared unsupported by their creators. It also tracks updated game mods and non-cosmetic updates to custom content. If you use mods, this thread's lists and ongoing reports can help you prevent game errors and help you avoid having to do a 50-50 of all your mods.

Some of you will be familiar with the thread – it takes over from the threads I ran for several years on the Sims 4 Forums, to which you may have been sent from here before. In this new home on AHQ, you can subscribe to the thread to receive notifications by email (select Topic Options).

Some things are NOT covered:

• early-access content
• new translations (except where translations were broken), spelling changes, new recipes, and some other very minor changes
• new add-ons and new separate versions of mods
• various other things because of the T (for Teen) game rating, EA and AHQ rules, and the Maxis guidelines for Sims 4 content creators

In the end, YOU are responsible for your mod use. Read the FAQ about mod use in the Resources list below. Keep back-up copies of your Saves. Read each mod's installation instructions. Delete old mods before you replace them with updated ones. Follow creators to get direct news from them.

NOTE: Changes to ingredient tags have had a significant impact on some cooking mods. Two of these are listed below, but there are likely others. Typical things not working with the mods in are grocery shopping, Simple Living, and ingredient use, plus the new categories aren’t accessible until those mods are updated. Removing cooking mods can cause errors if not done right, including lots not loading. Please check creators’ instructions when you plan to delete cooking mods.

Obsolete

These mods are no longer needed based on the patch notes and should be removed.

• I Don’t Want to be Your BFF - Shino Nox – based on the fix to “Uninvited Sims entering homes to ask to be BFF”
• RBF - Gardening Workaround Fix – LittleMsSam – based on the fix to “Plants suddenly reverts to dirt pile”
• vegetariangrableftoverfix – Bienchen – based on the fix to “Vegetarian sims get meat items with 'get leftovers'"

Some of you may also find that you no longer personally have a need for LittleMsSam’s Calm Bees interaction mod, based on the fix to “Bees in the bee box won't calm down.”

Updates

TwistedMexi updated Better BuildBuy to v3.0 just before this patch; it has NOT been cleared for 1.101. I advise waiting for it to be cleared before you update.

Broken/Updated

This game update includes extensive changes to cooking, affecting Live mode UI, recipes and their categorization, and small appliances. If you’ve decided to re-enable mods right after updating, you may find that mods related to cooking and small appliances cause issues.
