Stuck At Options Tab

After opening up the 'Options' tab either on the menu screen or in-game, the 'X' button does not work, neither does the ESC button on keyboard. Opening options tab everytime will result of me being stuck at the game with options tab on, unable to go back unless i close and re-open the game. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling, does not work. Pls Help.

@ambikaaaa Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. You should also do a look through Broken/Updated Mods & CC .
