Sims 4 pets "can't move" but there's nothing blocking their way

★ Novice

My pets keep having this thought bubble and I cannot figure out why. I've removed many things from the house, especially the rugs I had sized up and it hasn't helped. I can debug the pets and it goes away for about 2 sim hours but it'll come back. It prevents them from eating playing, going outside, it's a huge pain!
This has been going on for several days, i've restarted my game multiple times since it started. Seems to have started when I moved out of Brindleton Bay though, is that an issue?

It looks like it is scared. Try asking "what's wrong".

Thank you for the reply @jpkarlsen !

Sometimes "what's wrong" isn't available, and when it is they don't "answer". If I try to interact with them the Sim will start talking to them instead of anything I choose like play, pet or anything. If I choose "go for a jog" the Sim changes clothes and leashes them up but then stands in the same place for hours, with little plus signs as though they are walking/jogging. That used to happen every once and a while when I first started but now it's almost every time unless I reset them first

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

Sorry for such a delay, took me a minute to make time.

That didn't seem to work though. Luckily I don't have any cc and only had a few mods that I never got to work anyway (out of ignorance & laziness, everyone else used the mods fine haha)

I've moved everything away from the TV thinking they're stuck in that area and the kitchen but it happens all over the house, my sims jsut hang out most in the kitchen and by the TV. They still won't interact right either, and no "What's wrong" option!!! It's so annoying

@Jbyrd118 Do you have mod/CC? Please test without (and delete localthumbcache).

Have you backed up your Saves? Checked for broken and updated mods/CC?

@marischiarini Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
