Not entirely sure where to post this, I did post it in The Sims 4 Reddit, but that was removed so I'm sure I'll get more help here. So I moved my mods out, along with my save folder as advised!! I’ve been slowly testing cc on a brand new game basically, not having any issues with hair or skin so far, some of the face paint eyes are glossy/slightly transparent but I know that’ll be fixed quickly by the cc creator, not seeing many issues with the cc furniture but seeing everything wrong with the standard game items, what is up with the shine/glare on literally everything? I usually have the white dots on the TVS/Refrigerators, something about a mac glitch I’m not totally sure, I wish I could fix it already but this was totally new, I just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, I’ll be re-going through cc in the meantime!

@iluvtolol Please test the base game (non-cc) items in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to this folder yet; just start a new save and see whether any of the items are still affected.
If you do notice more shininess, please post new screenshots from the cc-free new save. Please also list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number.
