Objects disappearing while playing and not in my inventory

★★★ Newbie

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.102.190.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holiday celebration pack and my first pet stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? place an object
What happens when the bug occurs? the guitar my sim has been learning on since i started the game disappeared after finishing writing a jingle and it is not in my inventory. its just gone. i dont want to have to keep buying things i already paid for.
What do you expect to see? my guitar should be available so i can continue to up my level as a musician. i shouldnt have to keep buying it over and over again.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

i did not take a photo of my guitar before because i didnt know it would disappear so i do not have any photos that will help. i just downloaded the game and have played less than 8 hours.

Try a game repair. In Origin, you can do that by right clicking on the game in your library.

(I swear there's a description of EA app's repair on here somewhere)

@heavenlyterp  Just to confirm - you checked both the Sim's inventory and the household inventory, and the guitar is in neither place, nor visible anywhere on the lot?
