@73654876 It sounds like you're looking in the wrong place. Here's how to find your user folder: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

Have you backed up your Saves? Checked for broken and updated mods/CC?

The Mods folder is created the first time you start the game. Despite what someone told you you can not just create your own mods folder. The game only uses the folder it creates.

Re: MODS FOLDER ISSUE

@73654876 For more on how to do that now:

1. Drag your current Mods folder to your desktop. You'll have the files there you can add to the new one then

2. Delete the file called localthumbcache

3. Start the game and exit

Now you can copy files out of the old folder into the game-created one. DON'T copy over your old Resource.cfg file. Use the game's new one.

Lots more on using mods and CC here: How to Use Mods and CC You will also find yourself want to keep an eye on Broken/Updated Mods & CC when the game updates. Mod/CC Issues master post is one place to go when things go wrong in the game: it has "symptom" lists with common mod causes.
