Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game, go to uni). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@crinrictan outdated version of SNB Bills is the main cause of this. There may be other mods causing the same problems, but every time it happened to me, SNB Bills was the cause.

How the problem starts:
Have an outdated version of the mod in the folder. The problem start when the bills are delivered, the second after you get the notification, you can save the game, exit to the main menu, load back the save and reproduce the problem.

The fix:
Roll back to a previous save, update the mod, wait for the bills to be delivered, save in a new savegame and exit, load back the save and check that the issue is fixed.

If it's not:
Exit the game, remove SNB Bills completely, load the working save, enter the family and save the game again. Exit the game and put the mod back, this should clean up a save already affected before the issue happens.

@crinrict I am able to do university from home with no problems but still having the issues with living on the dorms. I am sorry I have not responded earlier

What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t play any of my households and if I can I can’t see my characters
What do you expect to see? To be able to play on my house holds and see my characters

 Hello there. I have a problem in Sims 4. My game opens normally. I can do CAS. I can build a house. But when I buy a plot with the family or sim I made, I am directed to the plot. When I come to the plot, my sims are not visible. Appearances and traits. I deleted the mods folder. I stopped the CCs. I deleted and reinstalled the game. But it didn't work. I can't play any games right now. With no family. A blue square flashes when I hold it without clicking on the families. Excuse me for my English. I used translation.
