Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.79.93.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Cottage Living, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living, Seasons, Snowy Escape, Dream Home Decorator, Vampires, Laundry Day, Paranormal, Tiny Living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In live mode, click on any item and interaction that requires a dialogue box to open. So far I have had issues ordering food via my sim's phone, clicking the fridge and selecting "Cook..." and clicking a toy box and clicking "purchase toys..."
What happens when the bug occurs? The game darkens as if a dialog box is going to open, but nothing appears. The game remains frozen on this screen. I am not able to select any buttons, so instead of saving and/or exiting the game I have to open my PC task manager and force the game closed.
What do you expect to see? I expect dialog boxes to open and give me options of what food to make, what toys to buy, etc.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Spa Day refresh
I have had this issue for several days, and it has persisted even after I disabled my mods

I have this same problem and can’t identify the mod at work. I do not have any of the mods listed by the reply. I am commenting, though, just to note that the one thing I *am* able to do when this happens is save and exit, but only if I press alt+f4. Doing that opens the “do you want to save your game before quitting?” prompt.

Hi @elysevilla . Please test without mods: Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Document > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

Hello! I always have all my mods updated, and I clear the cache every day before starting to play, but I have never tried to remove the mods because it is not an error that always happens to me, it is from time to time, I don't know, maybe one of every fifteen or twenty times, but I will try to try without mods, thanks for your answer!
