@callousNstrange A component of DirectX is crashing, so please start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Try again to open ME2 or 3, and let me know how it goes.

i did everything i was told to do and the games still don't launch.

okay, so... weird update.
i noticed my mass effect 2 binaries folder didn't have dxgi.ll inside of it, so i copied and pasted the one from my mass effect 1 folder to the mass effect 2 folder and... boom. game loads up now.

same with mass effect 3. copied and pasted the dxgi.ll file to the mass effect 3 binaries folder and now it works.

@callousNstrange Strange, I don't see dxgi.dll in any of my Mass Effect program data, just a handful of copies within C:\Windows and C:\ProgramData. I'm not sure what the difference is with your install, but the important thing is that you've fixed the issue.
