Cant launch MA on x box one x

I can do all the assignments on the station but I can't launch the ship when I become a spector.  I thought all x box games were backwards compatible but I can't take the ship out of port!  Is there something you can do to fix this problem or do I just have to wait for Starfield to be released?  Wanted to play old game on my new x box system but so far, no go FAILURE TO LAUNCH.   Please help.

Your headline sounds as if you are unable to launch the game but your post says the game is ruining.

So what is the exact problem?
What do you mean by "I can't take the ship out of port"?

Is the galaxy Map not working? .
