Can't launch Mass Effect legendary edition!

I bought mass effect and when I try to launch it I get an origin error that says you can't run EA desktop and Origin at the same time.

Ea desktop is not running atm.

I went through task manager and cleared anything that could be linked to EA desktop including all xbox apps since I use EA desktop for gamepass games.

What do I do!

Check on your taskbar for an icon that says 'show hidden icons', click it and then you can right click and exit EA Desktop if it is there.

You could also just reboot your machine and retry.

The only solution that worked for me is the one provided by "dividebyzero":

The steps are pretty straight forward and the game now launches.
