I don't have any greyed MAE tab in my library so this solution doesn't work for me.

The only way to revert the Deluxe edition you got from your Origin Access subscription to the base game you purchased in order to be able to go online, is to contact a EA specialist who is barricaded behind a lot of average email responders...

It doesn't require a Specialist, just someone that understands the issue.

You can call him anything you want, the fact is the average support responder can't help in this issue.
And no, I will not waste my time on Twitter or Facebook EA support walls before perhaps having someone able to help me.
I don't even have, and I don't want to have, account on these social networks.
I will just give up and play something else.

I thought you were supposed to "uninstall" option to revert to previous edition located under the cog option in Origin. CLick on uninstall under cog, and it should pop up and give you three options, one to remove from library, one to remove and keep in library and one to revert to purchased edition.

This 3 year old problem is still occuring... Wow, just wow... Phone support acts like they have not clue what is going on.

Yes, I did previously have an origin access subscription.
