Not really a bug, just a bad design choice.

Sadly, a more general design feedback channel has not been offered. Frown

If it's a feature and it doesn't feel like a feature but an annoyance, there is something wrong that needs to be checked out.

This, and the constant environmental updates! After X-number of hours playing, I don't need basic mechanics SAM-splained to me ad nauseam. Frown

You just wait 'till he starts on about the temperature!

"Ryder, the temperature has stabilised." "Ryder, the temperature is dropping rapidly." "The temperature has reached normal levels."... I know! I'm walking between rooms in a base!

LOL exactly, its non stop and every 4 seconds in and out of the rover and every singe heat lamp, I've actually started yelling at My System "Shut Up Sam". The Temperature, The Mining zones when You cant see the radius of the zone and dip out of it for 2 seconds and Sam just NEEDS to tell me I can mine in it. There needs to be a way to turn it off, and its NOT tutorials or any of the other settings that it should be considered under.

I concur.  Once SAM makes the initial weather and mining report at the start of the game, he should really let us use our own observation skills to deduce when weather conditions change and when we can mine for minerals.  We do not need the constant updates.

For an AI, SAM is not very intelligent and his chatter is wrong or annoying or simply out of place.  No one needs to hear him all the time; pls give the players the option to turn him off.   As a general rule, you novice gamemakers at Bioware should you know that any constraints or restrictions or liniarity in a videogame is not very fun and it limits your fans and player audience.

Adding to the clubbing of the dead horse that is SAMs notifications

You have AVP outstanding pathfinder

You can mine this area for resources

You have email at the terminal

Its hot Pathfinder, its Cold Patherfinder

Its definitely odd that testing never though "yeah that's a little much"

Can we just have an option to turn it off? I don't mind a text notification.
