mass effect 3 pc from ashes dlc

hellos everyone so im doing my every few months or so playthrough of the original me trilogy and have gotten to mass effect 3 but am having a problem i have all the content but for some reason from ashes wont download either when i first installed the game it dont show up as an option or when the games installed along with all the other content all content is installed and unlocked except for from ashes in origin it says to download it but it wont do anything when i click to download it any advice or suggestions on how to fix this

Try to clear your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

• Close Origin completely.
  (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
• Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
• Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
• Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
  (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
• Delete the "Mass Effect 3" folder from the "LocalContent" folder. 
• Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
• Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
• Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
• Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
• In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
• Open the "Local" folder.
• Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
• Restart your PC. > test

 @holger1405okay yes it is abit different  it looked like the usual steps  support gives when something happens so i assummed it was the same my bad ill go try it again with the additonal steps you mentioned but first will this get rid of my mods i have set up??

Having a vanilla installation when you have problems and are trying to solve them is always preferred.  

You can make a backup of your "BIOGame" folder (D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3) to install them back easily later on.

OK try this:

 look at this guide to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.

• Scroll down to "How to uninstall the Origin client the hard way"
• Follow the instructions to the letter. 
• reboot.
• Download this version of the "OriginSetup.exe"
• Run the installer as Administrator (Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as an Administrator) > Test.
