@Darthvader99076 At that same time PC players (not sure about console) started to experience the "Online pass account glitch" even though PC players never needed it... because there never was an online pass for PC players. It is an old console requirement.
The problem here is that the account data on the EA servers, for whatever reason, has had the "have online pass" variable set to false. There is no way on the user side to set it back to being true because, as you point out, it should never be an issue. It requires someone with access to that server data to change the variable for the account. It should be a quick fix and easy fix. You just need someone who has access and knows how to do that.
