Mass effect 3 won't start..."Not Responding"

when I launch from the origin window all I get is a black screen and if I check task manager I get Mass Effect is not responding.

I just loaded and the origin software hit the internet.  I activated no problem game has never run.

Some users have been experiencing a black screen crash when playing Mass Effect 3 on PC. We have determined that this crash is often triggered by launching the game before the DLC, particularly From Ashes, has completely downloaded and installed via Origin. 

Once the game has installed, you will need to click on the lowercase i on the game box to see the status of your DLC. Please refer to this article for more information on downloading DLC in Origin: https://help.ea.com/article/how-to-download-mass-effect-3-dlc-in-origin
