Good to hear!

I'm still baffled as to why it originally launched on its first install no problems ... hopefully it won't go back to doing this but I guess if it does now I know how to fix it? Again, thanks so much for the advice!

Well, it looks like the DirectX installation got messed up somehow.

It is hard to say why, a System-crash or game crash at the wrong time, a virus (I would check that.) or something entirely different.

Edit: Considering the presumably multiple system crashes you talked about, it is likely that one of these was the cause.

@Vermin7031

Do you have the game on Origin or on Steam?

  • Turn the Cloud-save function in Origin off.
  • Make sure that Origin is completely closed.
  • Go to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3" = "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3" folder and move the "Save" and the "BIOGame" folders to your desktop. > Test.

@DeathDealer2241

Try this:

  • Make sure Origin and Steam are closed.
  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
  • Move the "License" folder to your desktop.
  • Test.

Hello I tried each fix. I then finally did the repair. I've included the dxdiag.

@UnRevibable

Do you have the "Media Feature Pack" for Windows N versions installed?
