I saw that you have an ATI Radeon HD4800 Series.
May I ask if you are using the driver included in Windows 8 or the AMD one? Im asking this because I had a similar problem with the same graphics card, just go to ATI website and download the last version of the catalyst suite for your graphic.

Let us know if it work for you Standard smile

Maybe we can test if is a problem related with the Origin Overlay or the game.
Could you try to desactivate the origin overlay in Mass Effect 3? You can do it at the Origin Preferences menu.

Waiting your answer. Im going to try to help you with the problem Standard smile

no problem still exists with overlay or without.

Well, at least we know that probably isn't the overlay or the graphics.

Are you running the game as administrator? If not, could you try it.

If the problem persists, could you try to set a Windows 7 Compatibility?

If you have an antivirus software could you turn it off temporary during the testing.

I'll continue thinking what is going on.

I highly appreciate your help.

I tried launching .Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32\MassEffect3.exe as Administrator (Right click run as admin)

I also tried running it in a different compatibility modes (Windows 7, XP SP3, ...)

Still crashes even more early. Also origin has crashed in some modes =)

You can try one thing.

If you modify the name of the Mass Effect 3 folder at "...\My Documents\BioWare" path and at Origin you desactivate the Cloud Saves you will get the game as at his first run.

Just undo all the changes done before, the run as administrator, Windows 7,...

And try to run it like this, let see if is the game or just a configuration issue.

Re: Mass Effect 3 has stopped working

I can't understand why, the only thing I can suggest is to try to repair the game through Origin and if that doesn't work, unistall the game make a restart andinstall everything again.

But I don't know if it's going to work or just make waste your time.

Sorry about the problem, I've done what I could.
