I Bought my digital copy of Mass Effect 3 during the recent sale that just happen. Once I started up the game I found out that everybody is speaking in French when I went to the setting to change the spoken langue to English only to find out that the arrows are greyed out and that I couldn't change it. I know this issue is specific to the digital copy because on the disc version I owned everybody still spoke in English. I even deleted and re downloaded the digital version to see if it would fix the issue and it has not. I did not run into such an issue when playing the digital versions of Mass Effect 1 and Mass effect 2.
further info if that helps
I bought both my physical and digital copy off Mass Effect 3 in Ontario, Canada. physical version was bought from EB games
I currently have the Xbox 360 version.
My consoles Langue and Locale setting are set to English and Canada.
I have never encountered this issue in any other games ever.
yes my version of Mass Effect 3 and my Xbox has the most recent patch downloaded and installed on my hard drive.
I have already read through 2 other forums that has the same issue (both seemed abandoned.)

another question pertaining to this issue. is why was there never been a langue pack released as dlc to alleviate such an issue?
I'm not looking for a refund or compensation I just want this issue fixed so I can go back to enjoying a game I really like.

Considering the fact, that it was not stated in the Xbox marketplace that the game will have only French VO, I think you can ask Microsoft for a refund. However, it'll all be up to their store refund policy then.

Well, it is pretty obvious that your location in the french speaking part of Canada is the trigger for this issue, tagging @EA_Ataashi for this.

Hey @GVXF4VXF19SH
FYI, when it comes to the console versions of our games, they're usually not region//language locked - the language version should be coherent with the language set on your Xbox. That's why we've never released any language packs for ME3.
However, it's not the first time when Xbox players from Canada are having this problem with Mass Effect 3
I can check your EA account, but unfortunately, I will not see any purchase details since it's stored in Microsoft's database. I also double-checked their marketplace, but I see no mention of available languages there for Canadian customers.
Do you have any other languages available in your game or French is the only option and you cannot change it?

Thank you for helping me with this issue and no I can't change the VO language from French, French is the only option I have due to the blue arrows being grayed out. Even thought I could change the in-game text to other langues just not the VO. If it helps I will attach the online receipt and the e-mail I got from Microsoft as images.

Thanks for the additional information @GVXF4VXF19SH
I removed the screenshots from your message (it's better to not post such info on public forum), but don't worry - I still have access to them if needed.
I'll ask our specialists about this situation. I'll try to keep you updated.

Hey @GVXF4VXF19SH
We got a confirmation from Microsoft that the digital version, which can be purchased via their store in Canada, includes only French VO. Unfortunately, we aren't sure if that's something, which can be corrected by Microsoft at this point
If you've bought Mass Effect 3 and want to play it via backwards compatibility on Xbox One, resetting the console region to US may work then. However, if you plan to play on Xbox 360 this workaround will probably not work.
I'm sorry that I don't have better news to share

Odd since the digital copies of Mass Effect 1 and 2 are in English.
Well if there really is nothing you can do about it than that's a shame, but thanks for clearing it up for me. What would you suggest that I do now. Refund?
Edit: wouldn't releasing a English VO pack as Dlc fix such an issue. other games have done it like the Assassin's Creed franchise.
