ME3 Legendary Edition Citadel DLC Game not responding

I have been finding that during the Citadel DLC for the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Steam. when I am doing the casino part of the mission. the game freezes and becomes unresponsive for several moments. and worse when I bring Tali. shortly after trying to mingle, the game just becomes completely unplayable and have to close the game due to it not working.
anyone else have this problem?

works slightly better with Liara

doesn't work at all with Tali

If you are on a PC try to repair the game.

(Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair)
(Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
