Freezing during combat (xbox 360)

In the single player after every two to three kills my mass effect will freeze. The freezing time is usually one or two minutes and involves repeated sounds of gunfire and controller vibrations. If it helps I have all me3 dlc content and I have installed to my hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.
