Can I play my game without Origin being involved?

I think the OP was more about not needing origin, because no one needs origin, it is a pointless shell trying to compete with steam, when it should just give up and be steam.

THANK YOU!!!  It was driving me nuts too!  I tried everything...and I mean everything for days to be able to do a replay of ME1...but couldn't;t figure out the camera lag problem.

Thank you!  I turned off Origin in game and can play again like the old days.

Can so relate. Origin sucks, EA launcher sucks -- I have all the EPs and SPs -- some so old the boxes long since disapeared. Sometimes 4 games show up in launcher -- sometimes 2 -- sometimes 8. In origin -- some show up, some don't. In pull-down, some show up, some show up 3 times. It's ridiculous. I don't do stupid messaging. No desire. Playing Sims because it's better than communicating with real people -- who turn out to be like EA, who say, Oh, just pay for another game.

And nothing in this thread let you "bypass" Origin. You need Origin to run the game.

I've had similar problem with command and conquer games. The only solution that works is to reinstall origin every single time I run the game.
