I have begun to play the Mass Effect series again, since it is my favourite of all time. This time however, I am having to use my Xbox One Console with the backwards compatibility because my Xbox 360 bit the dust. Anyways, I have started all new characters, and I would like to use them on Mass Effect 2. However, I am unable to import them. When I try, I get the message, "A sign-in change occurred. Sign out of your gamer profile to continue." I do that and get "A storage device that was in use has been disconnected. You must reconnect the storage device to continue." I have already removed my profile from my Xbox One and reinstalled it, along with deleting my Xbox 360 storage cache from the console as well. I have talked to Xbox support about the problem, and they have directed me here. They suggested there may be a trick to do this. Can anyone please guide me?

Do you have the save games stored in the cloud or on your hard drive? If the first, download them to the hard drive.
If the save games are already on a hard drive, is it the internal or an external?

How would I go about downloading my saved ME 1 character to the Xbox One hard drive?

Go back to the Saren boss fight play that then start play through no2 then save it. You can’t rely on auto save to load it.
