Playing Mass Effect on windows 8

When i launch the game i get a blue screen and my computer freezes. I am using windows 8 on an Alienware new computer which easily meets the recomended requirments. Please help

A blue screen is not caused by a game. It's caused by faulty hardware or driver issues and may be triggered by a game. You have to read the code in the blue screen to try and decipher where the issue is.
