Mass Effect 2 DirectX installation error

When i was installing the Mass Effect 2, a bug report popped up with this: "DirctX installation error: an internal failure has occured.

Try running Origin as Administrator.

If that don't helps, go to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\directx\redist" folder and delete all the files with a ".cab" file extension

After that run the "DXSETUP.exe" (As Administrator) inside the same folder > restart the Computer > test.

If that also don't helps, download the DirectX end-user runtime from here > install (Run the installer as Administrator) > restart the Computer > test.

Same problem here, [admin edit: content contravenes against the rules & guidelines]

It's a shame as the first one sucked and I heard good things about the sequal.

I did hear going to the install directory and erasing all of the Direct x files will fix it however that fold does not exist for me.

How is it illegal the game is free,However it's borked with no patch or no information how to fix? 
Mods can edit a post and not post a fix? 
I get what you mean though just think it's funny that a pirate version works better than the original,I downloaded through origin but have no install files? why would it be ileagle to source the files elsewhere and put it in my origin directory?

It is still illegal and it is also dangerous in regards to possible virus or malware threats.   

So again, stop referring to this method.
