Lost ME 2 cloud saves

While playing ME2 my game crashed and was completeley unuseable. The EA Advice boards suggested a reinstall, which I did assuming that this wouldnt be an issue thanks to cloud storage. After I reinstalled all my cloud saves were gone and I had lost 38 hours of progress. Now, how do I get my cloud saves back? 

Also, I have sent emails to Origin twice in the past two weeks regarding this and I have had no response. This is the only place I can think to ask for help, especially as the "EA chat" is down again.
