"Mass Effect configuration utility has stopped working"

"Mass Effect configuration utility has stopped working" is the message I get upon either running the game or running config.

Where does this patch come from? I went to the Bioware site, and registered, then went to register games and it doesn't even show ME1 as an option, only ME2 and ME3. So, if you need to register the game to get the patch, but you can't register the game any more, uhh...

Hey,

Updating Mass Effect to the latest patch version will stop the crashing of the Configuration Utility.

I previously experienced this issue before updating to patch 1.02
