mass effect 1 windows 10 configuration utility crash

i formatted my pc, and the actual game files are on a different driver, but usually when i repair the game it figures itself out and runs smoothly. the game itself runs fine, but the screen resolution i want (that i know ive had before) isnt appearing, 1980 x 1080. when i open the program it gives me this error

this time the configuration utility program wont open, and i've found the 1.02 patch but it gives me this error

if it makes a difference ive been running origin in r&d mode (cant figure out how to get out of it)

running windows 10 64 bit

nvdia just updated to version 430.86 release date 5/27/2019

oops i fixed it lol

i deleted all the files under my documents / config and the program suddenly opens and i can get my resolution!

Good that you figured it out.

Just that you know, to get to the higher resolutions in game you need to scroll down with the double error, that is easy to miss, on the right side of the resolutions list.
