I wanted to play mass effect 1, so i installed the game from my dvd, patched, launched it, but every 8 seconds the game stops for 1 second.
believing it was a old game version and compatibility problem with windows 10, I redeemed the code on Origin, and installed it from origin.
same problem.
I tried reinstalling the video card drivers, hoping it was an error related to them, but the problem occurs again.
I then tried to activate the game in compatibility with xp (Service pack 2 and 3) but nothing.
Is there a solution ?
my machine is equipped with a phenom x6 1055t, rx550 amd video card, 8 gb ram.
CPU usage about 40 % all core
In the video card usage graph, I see a drop in video card usage every 8 seconds at the exact moment of image freezing.
Then the game restarts normal for another 8 seconds. The video card is used at 35% ,data provided by the windows task manager.
On this machine i ran, BBC2, the witcher 3, 2, 1.
I think it's a driver problem, but I can't get over it.

I did driver update, but same problem.
When restarting, the windows computer did a massive system update.
Among the many updates, I saw that he downloaded a C ++ update and netframework.
I tried to turn on the game, and a performance windows message mentioned the vsync problem.
So I went looking for info, and activated it in the menu.
I have no idea what the pc did, as it downloaded for tens of minutes.
The game works fine now
So solved in this way >>
Update video driver to the latest version (As you suggested)
Update of C ++ and netframework (done by windows automatically)
Turn on vsync.
Thanks for the support mate.

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
