Mass Effect not working after windows 10 update

Hello to the forum !

My Mass Effect 1 is not launching anymore (from the .exe or from the origin interface). I wonder if it is the last windows 10 update that was installed on my PC yesterday, the game worked perfectly two days ago... Anyone having the same issue ?

(I tried running as admin and stuff but nothing works to this point)

Hey thanks for the help Barry !

I checked and tried all that but it did not make the trick so i reinstalled the whole game and mods (ALOT....) and it worked after that. Maybe the windows update messed up with some reg entries and stuff like that. Weird .....

• First, update your video drivers and make sure you are running Origin as an Administrator and that your Windows User Account has Admin. privileges: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/

• It is possible that running the game using the available Windows Compatibility options will help too: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/15078/windows-make-older-programs-compatible

• Right click the game in Origin and then click Update Game just to make sure that is not the issue.

• If you find the issue persists, then check the following link please:https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/

I can still play the game after the latest Windows 10 update. That doesn't help you, but at least it means Microsoft didn't ruin Mass Effect for everyone.
