Season 8 Map Developments

★★★★ Guide
  • "Thinning out densely-packed smaller POIs to give more breathing room and reduce combat choke points"

This statement was made in regards to the new Season 8 Kings Canyon map. Part of me though, is against this ideology. These smaller POI's are really effective at breaking up teams -and alleviating "third-party" pressure. When all you have are large open areas and a few "cities" full of loot... You get multiple teams getting corralled to a slaughter house. These dense-small areas are crucial to give players more out of the way areas to loot and protect. Most players just flock to larger (more popular) POI's and ofcourse this leads to multiple teams just converging.

"it had been called out as a frustrating spot to travel through and fight in"

Just where, and who are making these complaints? Here on the forums? I personally think (in moderation) more LoS blockers = the better. We see some players complain about "third parties"; But aren't such moves gonna make a possible matter worse?

Opening up pathways is cool, and the Northwestside of the map looks really beautiful. But... making areas easier to traverse? What if, having those "chokepoints" or areas-hard-to-get-by, alleviate pressure from invading teams? It helps separate and divide teams up more when fighting, maybe.
