Game works fine EXCEPT when entering either leagues or head to head, immediatly crashes when entering either. (LG Nexus 5 and Asus Nexus 7 kitkat 4.4.4)

Cant EA just use its own servers like SuperCell and get away from facebook entirely as a backup for team?  I hate facebook and only created an account to play this game.  I will not update a profile pic.  If facebook is an ongoing requirement to play this game to have it backed up then i would prefer to get my money back.
