2,280,000 coins spent on 57 gold players

The James Conner purple event says there is a 5% chance that you'll pull him. I have just spent two million two hundred and eighty thousand (2,280,000) coins playing 57 events in a row (not to mention the other times I've played throughout) and not one time did I get James Conner.

Man I just spent almost two and a half million coins on nothing but gold players man. I'm not going to even lie bruh that hurts and it's one of the most extremely frustrating moments for me with this game by far. Ever. Ea how can you be ok taking the fun, pleasure and experience out of the game like this? Ea do you really think it's ok for anyone to spend almost 2 and a half million coins on just gold players? You mean to tell me I couldn't hit that 5% not once? What is it 5% of? 100,000? It's these exact things that happen that make people look at this company like y'all designed this game out of greed and to beat us out of as much as possible.

Just two seasons ago this game was extremely fun, enjoyable and addicting and I made it my business to make time to play because I enjoyed it that much and it was genuinely rewarding. Now here we are two seasons later and instead of y'all focusing on gameplay and player experience, y'all put out events to sucker us into spending 2,280,000 coins on gold players.

It's hard as a player and fan to believe that the player's experience is at the forefront and a priority for ea. This type of thing happens all of the time. Games are meant to be fun and enjoyed. Literally just with the last program, toty, on a few different occasions I've played the exact same event over 500 times IN A ROW only to get 1-3 badges on average, 4-5 emblems altogether and not one player. Throughout the entire event at that. And now the very next event I get suckered into spending 2,280,000 coins on gold players.

I shouldn't be surprised though. All of this entire season players have been posting about the EXACT same problems with this game that are still going on now and not one time have any of you addressed any of them, not even to say we're looking into it or even working on it, ESPECIALLY if it was about the ratings or something. None of them have been fixed. You treat your loyal players and fans wrong ea. With the way y'all have handle this game and our experience this season it's saying y'all couldn't care less.

2.3 million coins on 57 gold players.. Y'all couldn't even have the decency to let elites be winnable. 40,000 coins for a gold player ea. I played 57 events at 40,000 coins each event, spending 2,280,000 coins only to get JUST 57 gold players. Ask yourselves ea, put yourselves, your mind included, into our shoes. Can you honestly say that nothing is wrong? That it's ok? You'd have no problem with any of this?

I was duped into spending two million two hundred and eighty thousand coins on nothing but gold players ea. Y'all know these coins are nothing short of tough to come by. Had there been another at least decent football app out, I'm all but sure y'all would do better than this.

We know a lot of players will have their eyes set on a specific item they really need to complete a set or help improve a position on their team, only to come up short after spending a lot of time playing events or currency (both in-game and real-life currency). It can be very disappointing, I've personally been there myself in some situations. We want to make sure at the end of the day, the game is considered fun for you and do take experiences like this seriously to help improve both features in game and policies for our Live-Support team so they can do everything from their end to assist you. It's unfortunate to hear things didn't go you way after spending over 2 million coins and I provided a link below that explains more about probability. Spending more and more coins doesn't increase your odds of pulling that item from each pack as the probability/chance will remain the same.

Pack Probabilities

https://www.ea.com/games/fifa/fifa-19/news/fifa-19-pack-probabilities

I've seen a lot of feedback like this across other titles (Madden/FIFA) and that James Conner item is not really intended to be easily acquired by a lot of teams when the probability is that low. Holding that item on your team will give it's rarity more value. If our Support staff was able to grant these items to the many requests that came our way, the value of those type of items would drastically be watered down because more are flooded to auction house market. I hope that provides some light as to why our Live-Support team deny those requests.

In a lot of our Ultimate Team games where you build up your own fantasy roster, using the items you received from packs or rewards to sell on the auction house is a great way to help recoup some of the coins you spent going after an item, or help increase your current coin amount by selling items at maximum value and purchasing items you found for exceptional value. Communities like those at Futhead and Muthead frequently discuss auction house strategies. It's worth a look!

I hope you have some better outcomes going forward and appreciate the write up on your experience playing Madden Overdrive. Good luck on the field.

Just because there's an explanation for it doesn't make it right or ok. Here's the thing @EA_Blueberry we only get gold players. Would you spend $230 on JUST gold players? Did you think any of us would spend $230 on JUST gold players? Ea doesn't even have the decency to give us the chance to let us be able to pull elite players (or anything better than just gold players) for 40k coins. I'm all for stuff not being easily available for the sake of value and being worth it, but there is a point to when you start spending so much whatever (time, currency, in game and real) that it's a slap in the face and a big fu to only get gold players. Like for the toty program. I often only received on average 3-5 emblems by the time I was done playing the exact same event hundreds (4-600+ times) in a row. Consecutively non-stop. I'm not saying we all should be able to get all of the best, but we should be and feel rewarded and NOT bamboozled and taken for a ride when we come up short. We're playing a game for crying out loud NOT trying to win a life changing lottery. I really do appreciate you responding to this post because with all I've had and have to deal with this game this season and all I've spent in vain, for NOTHING between these last two programs, I can't see or believe how our (the player's) experience is important to ea. And it's not just me, there are tons of others and we can only imagine those who don't frequent any forum. Y'all say one thing, but, we experience the complete opposite. Now don't get me wrong, I know it's a big win to get these highly sought after players, but, it's not going to hurt y'all to make this game more rewarding like it used to be. I mean y'all have even cut back on pack value but boosted the prices and the player ratings and they already don't perform according to them anyway (consistently) just to name a couple. It is a game we play to enjoy. There's no reason this game should be where it is now compared to how great it was before last season on back. With all of the real hard earned money we spend on/in this game it shouldn't be complicated for y'all to reward us better than this. It's bad enough we don't and can't get even some of the players we want, but for y'all to only give us gold players with not even a sprinkle of anything better, essentially selling them for 40k is ridiculous and absurd to say the least. And far as the ah, I do utilize that, but since we don't have full or much control over any of it, we're not even guaranteed to get top dollar, so to speak, because of the unknown regulations, hand and control over it by ea. Shucks, we don't even do transactions with other humans/players right? This game has always had its fair share of problems since its inception, but NEVER extreme as they have been this season and to add insult to injury y'all took away sets. Hands down the most important and vital aspect of this game. The point is blueberry, that we play this game to enjoy it because we want to, we like and love the Madden franchise. But things like this happening all of the time takes even more away from player experience on top of ALL of the problems we have to deal with that we have absolutely no control over. Amongst other things, In one weekend alone (Friday evening through Monday morning) I had well over 150 network timeouts. 150. Yet I'm still here playing and supporting this game. Doesn't that count for something? Or is it like when customer service says "if there's enough people, it'll get escalated"? And nothing was or is wrong with my service, by the way. Y'all really need to take into account our experience, or lack there of, and put yourselves in our shoes sometimes. How would you feel if you worked two (or just one) jobs, loved to and do play Madden mobile (or anything) more than you should, spend way more than you can and should on the game only to ALWAYS feel duped and come up short? I'm all but certain that the average player doesn't have an infinite cash source to spend but, does have a job(s), life and family. It's not a fluke or a coincidence that a plethora of people complain about this game at the rate and on the scale we do and it surely isn't just for the sake of doing it. No matter how rare a player is, we should NEVER be able to spend millions on a single event only to get nothing but gold players or to feel completely taken. Y'all can and have to do better than that. Especially with how not so great the game is this season. I know I'm not the only one and some have spent more to no avail, but I spent $230 only to get nothing but gold players. I hope you/y'all see it from the player's side/perspective and really take this into consideration. Thank you.

And while I'm thinking about it, another example of the stingy nature of ea towards our experience and enjoyment is the league achievements. At one time we were able to get players, good, worth it players at that, for completing achievements together as a league. Which the players as a reward were quite fitting considering what needed to be done and it made us actively work, together, towards that goal and it had our morale up to say the least. It didn't seem like a job. It was fun.

And then on top of all of that, ea keeps us from being able to sell our players immediately to get be able to get top dollar for them. Y'all make us wait about a month (30 days), at which point, new players have come out, dropping the value of the players y'all make us sit on tremendously as a direct result of that.

I agree 100% I actually opened 130 combine packs, in a row, with 30 of the combine legends packs for a total of 160 packs, you think I got any of the diamond players that had a 1% chance or even a 5% chance, you would think 1% is 1 out of 100 but EAs calculator it's not, so I spent all that TP to get nothing, that was the 1 and only time I grinded that hard to get nothing, all they want is for you to spend money, and then still F you over, IM DONE WITH ANY EA MOBLE FOOTBALL, NOT PLAYING AGAIN AFTER THIS YEAR, 2020 NOPE NOT ME

Yea I thought it was like, let's say, a 5% chance out of ALL of the packs we open too, but, it's a 5% chance for each individual pack. The amount of packs we open does not matter and has no effect (good or bad) on the percentage of our chances at hitting big. Which really isn't that bad and makes sense when you think about it though. It's just ridiculous how we can spend millions of coins and only get gold players. We should at least be able to hit for elites or something as well once you spend so much. I spent the equivalent of $230 of my hard earned American dollars for 57 gold players. It's like ea doesn't take that type of stuff into account or they just don't care for whatever reason. But, nonetheless, NOBODY should ever be able to spend so much and only come out with so little (gold players) and nothing to make it at least not that bad. This isn't the lottery or a casino.
