Unable to Call Timeout on Fourth Down When on Defense

I'm playing Madden NFL Mobile on an Android device.  Whenever I'm playing defense and the offense is facing a fourth down with the clock running, the option in the pause menu to call timeout is grayed out and cannot be selected even though I have timeouts remaining.

Is there a workaround for this issue?  If not, should anyone from EA read this, could you please fix it?  It's frustrating to watch the defense run valuable seconds off the clock because the game will not allow me to call timeout even though I have timeouts left.

I think the same problem exists on offense too.  You can't call timeout on 4th down period.
