Madden Mobile NFL users seem to have a problem:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MaddenMobileForums/comments/pqnxyd/for_those_still_playing/
232/378 or 61.4% (current) respondents say they only play Madden Mobile 22 because they are unable to stop playing.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MaddenMobileForums/comments/pqnzx5/for_those_still_spending_money/
86/183 (47%) of respondents volunteer that they spend money because they are unable to stop.
This probably undershoots the extent to which there is a problem because of the reluctance to and stigma around admitting to having a problem. These people are asking for help.
Why is there no self-exclusion mechanism similar to what online gambling games have? Is this a phenomenon EA is aware of? Is it something EA cares about? Are there plans to act?

Hi, @abdominousness
Our Origin platform has playing limit controls similar to what Microsoft and Sony have for their platforms as well. This is both for game time and spending limits.
More information on this can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/origin-player-controls/
If there is anything specific you'd like to see for mobile games to display in game (reminders of how much time you've been playing when in the app for example), please share so we can forward it along to the teams.
Thank you for raising your concerns. We hope everyone has fun playing our games but hope everyone can help balance it out in moderation.
